Location
Located between Swedens most famous tourist areas Mora, Salen and Idre, where there is an abundance of activities available during the Winter and Summer months. Close to the hotel runs the river Dal with excellent fishing possibilities. In the forests surrounding Alvdalen you will find moose, bears, bobcats and the occasional wolf passing by.
Beside the hotel is the Porphyrus and Hagstrom Museum displaying stone objects and instruments that once was manufactured in Alvdalen. By the way - the musician Elvis and Frank Zappa used to play on Hagstrom guitars made in Alvdalen.
